It was a busy week for recalls. Between October 19 and 23, automakers recalled more than 218,000 vehicles in the U.S., according to filings with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The problems range from leaking fuel lines to wheels that could come off.
Here’s what you need to know, starting with the most urgent one.
Porsche: Park It Until It’s Fixed
If you own one of the affected 2024 Porsches, Porsche says don’t drive it until it’s been repaired. The center lock wheel bolt can crack, which could let a wheel come off while you’re driving.
The recall covers 548 cars, including the 718 Cayman GT4 RS, 718 Spyder RS, 911 Turbo S, 911 Turbo, 911 S/T, 911 GT3 RS, 911 GT3 and 911 Carrera GTS. Dealers will check the wheel system and replace bad parts for free. Letters go out around December 15, but if you think your car is affected, there’s no reason to wait. Call Porsche at 1-800-767-7243 (recall ATA1).
Toyota Land Cruiser Hybrid: Fuel Leak Risk
This is the biggest recall of the week, covering 105,794 Land Cruiser Hybrids from the 2024 through 2027 model years. A fuel tube near the tank can come loose and leak gas, which raises the risk of a fire.
Dealers will inspect it and add an extra clamp, replacing the tube if needed. Owner letters are expected around November 29. Toyota’s number is 1-800-331-4331 (recalls 26TB23 and 26TA23).
Land Rover Range Rover: Camera Problems
Nearly 94,000 Range Rovers from 2022 through 2026 are being recalled because water can collect around the rearview camera and damage it. If your backup camera stops working, you lose your view behind the vehicle.
The fix is simple: dealers will drill extra drain holes and replace the camera if it’s damaged. Land Rover plans to send early notices around December 11. Owners can call 800-637-6837 (recall D171).
Volvo EX30: Loose Headrest Cushions
Volvo is recalling 9,930 EX30 and EX30CC electric SUVs from 2025 and 2026. The cushion on the head restraint could come loose in a crash. Dealers will glue it back in place properly. Letters go out around November 30. Call 1-800-458-1552 (recall R10396).
Ram 2500: Stability Control Issue
About 8,329 new 2026 Ram 2500 pickups have a steering column module that could knock out electronic stability control, the system that helps keep you from skidding. Dealers will swap the module. Letters are expected around November 24, and FCA’s number is 1-800-853-1403 (recall 90D).
Is Your Car on the List?
The quickest way to find out is to grab your VIN, the 17-character number on your registration, insurance card or the driver’s side of the dashboard, and enter it at nhtsa.gov/recalls. It takes about a minute.
And remember, recall repairs are always free at an authorized dealer.
